As a fan of visual novels, I hope people are beginning to see that they can be called video games, and that they're not always about creepily seducing half-naked cat-eared women. While the quality of the game and its English translation is very poor, traced character art and CGs of Nene Anegasaki, from the popular Japanese dating game series LovePlus, as well as the use of several pieces of non-commercial art without the original creators' permission, have made a lot of Steam users voice their complaints on the game's discussion forums.

When I start making post's that are longer than a few sentences and warrant a title that is less vague I'll do so. It's just that most of my post's have been short and the topics are vague, so having a more blanketing title like the name of the game or character is better than having specific titles that narrow down the conversation.

Old School Building : Even though Camp Sovyonok isn't a school, the old campsite is functionally identical to the Old School Buildings used in other visual novels by being an abandoned location filled with lots of mysteries. Everlasting Summer is a game developed in the quickly expanding Russian game industry, something that shines through in both the visuals and writing.

Even then, it takes a complete shift in setting, character, and even storytelling genre for Semyon and Miku to end up together. What we have is the down the rabbit hole” approach to storytelling, enhanced by how the summer and the camp's light atmosphere contrasts Semyon's crestfallen demeanor and lifestyle in the real world”.

The list of alternatives was updated May 2018 There is a history of all activites on Everlasting Summer in our Activity Log It's possible to update the information on Everlasting Summer or report it as discontinued, duplicated or spam. However, the game would make sure you are certain there's more to the story, and you still don't know everything about the summer camp you went to.

As stated above, the anime style of the game may be a turn off for some, but I couldn't see the game working any other way after playing it. There are some instances where the characters look completely different from another scene, but over a span of 5 years in the making, inconsistencies were bound to spring up. Aside from this minor detail, the backgrounds for the game, the characters during the story scenes were all top notch.

I guess you could say that I make this criticism not because I am demanding free games be huge expansive games, but because I like seeing a free game which actually has a long enough run time to keep you engaged for many hours and which offers enough variety that you don't feel like you're just doing the same thing over and over again.

Thank you for bringing it to iOS, I played the pc version and that was too good for words. Meeting Semyon, the game's main character, you would've never paid attention to him. One of the things that people will have noticed is that I tend to criticize free games for being too short.

So. Overall, you know, I had a really good time with Everlasting Summer. The standout parts of the game are the adventures on foot, which are designed as text quests, the forerunner genre of visual novels. I played the game in both English and Russian, but you definitely don't have to play in both languages in order to get the full story or anything like that.

Ultimately it doesn't matter, because the game was played once (there's a tournament with three games, and you could lose any one of them) and it was never brought up again; so much for variety. So, Everlasting Summer is a romance RiffTrax story that you can turn into a sorta-eroge assuming you hang around all the right (or very wrong) places on the internet.
